Despite my parents fretting that I’d never make a living as a writer, I’ve been doing just that for more than 15 years. As the editor-in-chief and managing editor for two national wine business magazines, I learned the importance of meeting deadlines and submitting tight, clean copy. I mastered the art of multitasking, from big-picture strategizing to tiny-detail nitpicking. Perhaps most importantly, I came to understand what makes a great story, and how to tell it.


As a freelance writer, I focus on lifestyle pieces that reflect my burning love of wine, food, beer and travel. My editorial writing has appeared in such publications as Eating Well, the San Francisco Chronicle, Decanter, Wine Enthusiast and Sonoma magazine. I’m also a regular contributor to Meredith's content services division, writing wine, beer and food travel stories.

People who’ve worked with me will tell you that I hold myself to high standards of quality and professional integrity, that I’m chock-full of creative ideas and that I’m as hard-working as they come. They’ll also say that I’m a pleasure to work with and have a great sense of humor. Who am I to argue?
